Welcome to Blogs, Wikis & Feeds, Oh My! There is really no reason to fear these tools of Web 2.0 despite the fact that they have strange names. All three of these tools have, for better or worse, changed the way that we (can) interact with the web and with each other.
One of the unintentional consequences of the widespread use of these tools is the potential educational use of them, as they are, by nature, collaborative.
This first post is meant to provide you with an outline of what Ken and Molly will be discussing and demonstrating to you over the next 90 minutes. We also intend to give you time to play with each technology because, when it comes to these tools, there is no better way to learn to use them than to get your hands dirty (so to speak).
The agenda is as follows:
- Overview and Introduction
- Blogs
- Teaching Considerations
- Time to play with blogs
- Wikis
- Teaching Considerations
- Time to play with wikis
- RSS Feeds
- Questions?
We are starting with Blogs
